Step 1: Shopping for Durian Durian is sold in Asian markets or Asian grocery stores. Look no clear peaks colors dark brown spots or white pieces between the points (signs of maturity). Durian fruit freezes well and often sold frozen and exported. Save the durian in the refrigerator or in a cool place until you open it.
Health Services: durian is very healthy, with high concentrations of vitamins and minerals. It is unique among fruits containing vitamin B complex (ideal for vegetarians!). It is also rich in fiber and rich in vitamin C, potassium, essential amino acids, copper, iron and magnesium. Note: If the decline of the family, limit your intake of durian to one serving per day (about 1/2 cup).
Durian interesting facts:
- The king of fruits durian was because of its enormous size (about 1 foot long), heavy weight, and the amount of fruit is called in it.
- Due to its weight and sharp spikes, falling durian killing a number of people each year (for this reason, the new hybrids developed to make the best durian)
- Thailand is the largest exporter of durian. Many fruit durian is in the stores in the frozen North.

- Durian has known a strong odor and is therefore banned in most public places in Southeast Asia, including hospitals and trains. When traveling, it is always full of fun for the Westerners, a sign "no Durian" signals released NO SMOKING see!
