How Sauteed Chicken Thai Lime

Note: kaffir lime leaves for this recipe (no substitutions) are required. You can find them in the freezer or fresh parts of your store to find Asian / local Chinese food. Some supermarkets are starting to sell in the section of fresh herbs!

Gather your ingredients: (for 4 people)

  • 4-5 chicken breasts or thighs
  • 2 bell peppers (red and green or other colors)
  • Cook onion 1/3
  • Handful of fresh basil leaves (used)
  • 2 c. Oil (such as coconut or canola) for frying
MASA:
  • 3 onions, sliced
  • 1 fresh red chili pepper (or more if you like super spicy)
  • [6-8] kaffir lime leaves
  • 4 cloves of garlic (or 1/2 tsp. Tablespoon garlic mashed bottle)
  • 1c. Lemon juice
  • 2 c. Fish sauce (in large bottles in the Asian / Chinese food stores)
  • Lose half cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 c. Coconut, canola oil, olive oil, or other healthy taste good oil
  • 2 c. Soy sauce
  • 1c. dark soy sauce (available in Asian / Chinese food stores)
  • 1c. brown
